That isn't holding up for 3 months. Heisman voters have a short memories.

I hope you're right. But I could see him still getting Hype despite losing a Shootout with Mett later in the year (LSU wins...but Manziel probably puts up crazy numbers)

Truth be told. Mariotta still suffers from being out West imo...Unless you play for USC...you kinda get ignored..

The only real hope to dethrone Manziel...

is Jameis Winston. He's gotta dominate in order for them to take it away from JFF.

I know twitter isnt the end all be all. But a lot of media types just are in awe of him.

Manziel lost two games last year. He still won the Heisman. Plus most of the Heisman polls still have him in the lead despite losing to Bama.

His competition was Colin Klein and Manti frickin Te'o

If Manziel just keeps putting up his ridiculous numbers he'll win. He hasn't lost his reputation as being the best college football player.

Mariota was absolutely ridiculous today. He was extremely impressive. His numbers didn't come from bubble screens being turned into long runs either, they were downfield throws that were consistently right on the money.

Everybody putting up ridiculous numbers and the media knows SEC Defenses are down this year. Numbers didn't even care him last year a trademark win did. He's got 1 shot at that left.

Not only that but the incompletions were drops by the receivers or throwing the ball away. I am glad we have him and not Manziel's histrionics.

And how is that different from Manziel? Heck, Manziel committed to Oregon, so if he had gone there, HE may have been that "cog".

cogs/systems/gimmicks....

It's all nonsense talk.

People called Montana a system QB...just like some label Brady.

It's just idiot barstool talk.

The man makes a point...

For all we know Manziel could be dominating even more if he played at Oregon.

He can kill you either way. Wilcox didn't seem to go after him much.

Or he could be sitting on the bench behind Mariota.

Yeah, he was my big worry going into the game. We won't beat you guys until we get a DL that can get pressure.

ONLY if A & M beats LSU.
