This is the only year where “I just hope nobody wins” could become a reality

They make more money outside of a conference. Not splitting their NBC contract OR bowl money is huge.
In ‘18 they took home all $6mil for the CFP while everyone else split it evenly with their conference

^^^^ NO.... because they'll just award the damn the to bama. At least playing the games, someone has a chance to pull the upset.

I don't think so. This year only works in their favor because they joined a conference in order to be able to play. If they go back to being Independent next season.... then I think making the CFP will be a long shot.

If they are a recent champ, the committee will give zero fricks about their conference.

Clemson used to get shite for their crap arse conference but once they won a title, they started getting the same grading on a curve that Bama gets every season

anybody but the gumps! Trevor lawrence would go down in my top 5 of favorite players with another beatdown of bama. He would have 2 national titles over bama, one loss to LSU and 1st round pick of the jags

Only about the top 25% of college football teams have a PRAYER to win the title. Amos Alonzo Stagg could rise from the grave and take the syracluse job, and they would have ZERO chance of sniffing a national championship. And the 'cluse is in the vast majority of the college programs.

Not really. If Syracuse went undefeated in the ACC and beat Clemson they’d be in
