Who are the Heisman frontrunners?

Well, we are past the halfway point of the season so we should get a decent read on the candidates.
I'd say Mariotta, Winston, and Manziel are the three top candidates.
Bridgewater's numbers are fine, but I don't think they are Heisman worthy. Aaron Murray, Tajh Boyd, and Mett are all out of the race.
I think Lache Seastrunk and Melvin Gordon are putting up incredible numbers, but I bet there are many voters who couldn't even identify which teams those guys play on.
Marqise Lee has been out of it since Week 1, unfortunately.
Mike Evans has to warrant some consideration at this point, but Manziel is just going to take too much of the spotlight.
I think if the season ended today, I would vote 1) Winston 2) Manziel 3) Gordon 4) Mariotta 5) Evans

Winston, Mariotta, McCarron

I kinda think Manziel's novelty is wearing off. You don't hear about him much after the Bama game and now his team lost again. While he's having a better year than last statistically, I don't think he's got a great shot of winning it again. Probably will be in the finals though.

The best player in all of college football is Jameis Winston.

There you go.

If Mariota played more than a half of most games his stats would be ridiculous. Most impressive, no INT's and 19 TD's passing, and around 500 yds rushing.

I think its down to Mariotta and Winston.
Lots of players were eliminated this weekend.

Eh. I guess. Oregon has only played one ranked team so far, FSU has played two. Also, Mariota has played one more game than Winston. At least Winston has the signature win so far. Mariota doesn't.

It'll shake out before the season is over. Still think no INT's is pretty impressive halfway through the season.
Wouldn't put McCarron out just yet. You know votes will consider his whole career at Alabama. He could have that Heisman, eye popping game vs LSU

yeah, today was a nightmare for him. his team lost and his major remaining opponent (LSU) lost a lot of luster.
if MU were to be undefeated when A&M played then that would be a potential spotlight game for him but I think people are still skeptical of MU in spite of their season to date.

Sean Mannion should get some love

Winston should be the frontrunner, Mariota is due to get exposed.
I guess you HAVE to put Mariota second.
Mike Evans is third for me.
McCarron is gonna get an invite to NY as a lifetime achievement thing.
Melvin Gordon is my other guy. So five guys.

I would put Evans on my ballot ahead of Johnny at this point. Johnny has been too reckless with the football and most of his improved passing mileage is floating jump balls to Evans.

Winston is #1. Mariotta #2. If Baylor keeps winning, look out for Brice Petty

Only answer to this point is winston. When mariota plays someone with a pulse maybe he gets a look.

Tim Brown said on his radio show that Heisman voters are reluctant to give the award twice to the same guy. So you might as well drop Manziel off the list. He wouldn't have a shot unless he was so clearly performing better than everyone else that he forces the voters' hand.
