Read that earlier...

Kelly is responsible for what happens at his practices. Did Kelly still demand they tape the practices? Did he leave it up to others to make that call?

Tressell even thought of the dangers the day before.

Does he deserved to be fired? I don't know enough details, and neither does Whitlock.

Whitlock is a good writer but maybe they should do a full investigation first.

i see the reasoning believe it or not...Tresell's response to the situation is telling...I don't think Kelly gave it any thought...

Really? You do realize that Tressel made these comments on Tuesday. Kelly had ND practice inside on Tuesday as well. So I guess he did give it thought on Tuesday, just like Tressel.

Writing about the need for an investigation doesn't sell papers.

Calling for a coach's head does...

if somebody said something "sold like hotcakes", would you argue that nowadays even hotcakes don't sell like hotcakes?

Someone should be held responsible for what happened. Coaches are fired for making moronic football decisions on the field, this decision or lack there of by whomever, cost the life of a student.

I think someone made a mistake by not checking the weather out. Now was it kelly's fault? Who knows. I think believe it was just a terrible terrible accident. Of course its always easy to call someone out after one happens. If i had to guess, Kelly has nothing to really do with the day to day filming. So maybe we get rid of the AD to for hiring kelly?

I understand what he is saying, Kelly is the ultimate decision maker regarding anything related to the football team operations. He is ultimately responsible for the videotaping of his practices. I don't really agree he should be fired. It is just a horrible situation that should not have happened.

With that said, the idea of having some in a scissor lift with 50 mph winds is dumb, you would think he see that and tell them to bring the lift down. Personally, with 50 mph winds I wouldn't have people in permanent video towers much less a temporary scissor lift that is not anchored.

so why not take the same precautions the next day? Who's job is in jeopardy? Tressels? These guys tend to micromanage everything so why not focus on the windspeed and the scissor truck? I surmise its because he wasnt thinking about it.
