Thomas is only in his 4th year. McDaniels was fired in December, offense was a mess in 2010. 2011 was mostly Tebow and the last two years were Peyton. He was a first round pick but he wasn't exactly utilized his first two seasons.

Also, he was considered "raw" coming out of GTech by most analyst.

He's still my favorite receiver on Denver's team. It will be interesting how he stacks up once Peyton is gone.

A lot of people would normally agree with that, if not for the Manning vs Brees thread going on right now.

If this topic were posted on r/nfl I guarantee most people would take the combination Decker/D. Thomas/Welker/J. Thomas over having just a top weapon like Graham and mainly fillers.

Prime DT88 > Prime Colston

Colston doesn't have the breakaway speed DT88 has.

i know who he is and he had that catch from tebow, but colston has had 6 years with over 1k yards and some saints franchise records

d. thomas looks like he may be a product of peyton with his stats though, plus he had some injuries his first two years

D. Thomas is arguably top 5 in the game. He is a beast.

Sproles has 241 more all purpose yards than Welker and Sproles has played 1 less game.

Welker has 10 touchdowns to Sproles' 4. He has 49 first downs to sproles' 30.

Welker has gone over 1,000 receiving yards in 5 of his last 6 seasons and gets the ball a lot more from scrimmage

Welker averages more yards on punt returns than Sproles too, he just doesn't due it full time.

If that's all that stands out to you, you don't watch enough football.

I don't get how that makes him a better receiver.

I can use that exact same argument with Colston.

they've had threads like these and Denver was pretty widely regarded as #1. That is with people still believing that Moore and Colston were healthy and great receivers

Neither do I, Colston is consistent in getting his touches. But, DT88 has abilities that take him to another level.

Denver by a long shot.

I was trying to tell this to a Saints tard at work the other day. He couldn't understand.

My point was in reply to the "thats a bold statement" comment. Not getting into a pissing match. It should be added that Sproles doesn't play every down either.
