I would say Astros or Jays would be fun teams to watch this year. The Cubs as well. I could see a team like the twins doing well this year too.

You can not call it "local" all you want, but you should probably go with the Astros. You will get their games on tv and can drive there for games pretty easily.

The Minnesota Twins are my team. I like the Dodgers from the NL for Vin Scully.

Biloxi is nowhere near Atlanta, but they are pretty much the hometown team. I agree that every place should have a "local" club despite proximity.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm going to roll with the Pirates. I don't have cable so I won't be able to catch their games on TV. And MLB.tv blacks out the Astros games in my area, I believe.
