I dk, I mean I know I can hit a 100mph fastball, or at least I could. I'm not saying I would do it, I almost certainly would not. But it's baseball, it's more possible than me guarding Lebron or LFitz where their huge size and athleticism would kill me. At least Verlander is still throwing a 5 ounce ball 60 feet

I bet a fair amount of people could do 1 if it was to 21 and it wasn't make it take it. Just bc once lebron got up like 15-0 he'd stop trying hard on D and let you have a 20+ foot jumper.

Out of the five balls, four are worth one point and the fifth one (a red/white/blue ABA-style ball; often nicknamed the money ball) is worth two points.

Bird never scored higher than a 22.

The NBA record is 25.

I agree with this.

It's possible.

My brother plays baseball in college... he actually had a game today.

Anyway, he's gotten hits, including doubles, off of some of the best pitching prospects when he was in high school. A couple guys threw 100 mph.

Now, Verlander is way above those guys' level. Now, either he makes a mistake, or you just get a good one to hit, and anything can happen if you put the ball in play.

I don't know if anybody here has played college ball... but if they have then it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Verlander is by far the least probable. fricking professionals barely hit better than .100 against him. And the pct of doubles has to be way lower than that

Easily ... White boy skills on the court ... Hit a J from anywhere with great dribble skills.

I could definitely do #5 if there were money balls. Ask boosie. Went 10-11 in a 3pt shootout in high school, and I'm a better shooter now

at anybody saying 5 is the easiest. The best 3 point shooters in the world would have a hard time getting 23 in one try. If you hit all 5 money balls you would still have to go 19/25 on 3's in under in a minute. Yeah, good luck with that. In 27 years of the 3 point contest, 9 players have scored 23+ in a round ( according to this +1 more for Irving this year). But I guess most of the MSB are better 3 point shooters than the greatest in NBA history.

#1 is by far the easiest if it isn't make it take it. Lebron would destroy you, but all you'd have to do is go 2/21 jacking up 3's as soon as you got the ball.

2 and 3 are would be impossible unless the NFL players fricked up.

People might be able to do #4 out of luck. 10 ABs = 30 pitches if you swing at everything. There's a chance you could possibly connect on one of those. But as soon as Verlander saw you swinging at everything, you're fricked.

Not for me. I've got a way better shot with Verlander than guarding Futzgerald or beating Revis like I said

didn't read the whole thread but there is zero chance a single person on this board could score once on LeBron if he was actually playing defense. Probably wouldn't catch a single pass against Revis or even make contact against Verlander. Brees and Fitz would complete all ten passes against the best athlete on this entire site.

The only answer is 5. (edit)

just read the rules to 3 point contest and have made up my mind. No one on this site could do any of the five.

I figure the first pitch or two are gonna be fastballs down the pipe because he's facing a random dude, I'd just hack at those and hope

If #1 isn't make it take it I would choose that. I'm not saying I could to it but I like my chances of making 3/21 shots more than the other options.

1,4,5,3,2. 3 and 2 would be pretty impossible.

Not easiest or easy at all - as my post pointed out Bird's history in the contest. But the stance was...theoretically remotely possible b/c it's just you and the basket.

With the other "best of the best" professionals involved in stopping you...I don't even think it's a remote possibility despite anyone's grand ideas of themselves.

I'm 6'4", I could get shots off on Lebron. Now they may be terrible fade away 25 footers but chances are decent that at least 1 would land. That's assuming not make it take it. If its make it take it my chances are basically slim to none.

I really don't think you could. Not if he was trying to play defense like he's capable of.

unless you were a baller at the D1 level or something

Professionals are still human beings. And human being make mistakes.

Although those guys will shut you down most of the time better than anybody else on the planet, they aren't going to be able to do it every time if you are good at a sport.

Especially like playing a 1 on 1 game against LeBron.

In a one on one game, there are no help defenders.

A good player can get some open looks... yes.. even against LeBron.

No. Do you understand how hard it is for NBA players to get an "open look" against LeBron? Even if you were somehow able to get open for a second, he would swat your shite into the 20th row. If we have some 6'6" wings who played college ball here, it's possible, otherwise, no one here scores a single point against LeBron if he's serious about playing.
