Harvin isnt close to Sproles' size

weight wise, he might be within 10 pounds or so but they are totally different body types.....and very, very different types of players.

Slo, what do you think Harvin measures and runs?

i think more than almost any skill guy, the combine is crucial for him. He's not a polished wr at all as he bounced around positions, and he has giant durability issues.

combine could make or lose Harvin a fortune, imo.

5-10.25, 190 lbs

if he runs at 100%, 4.37

Late first round. He'd make a good pick for, say Baltimore who needs a playmaker on offense.

There are some big problems with him draft wise though.

1) Durability
2) Pro-style
3) Technique

Harvin can't seem to stay healthy through a 12-13 game schedule. The UF offense uses him totally differently than the NFL will. He's often gotten by speed and agility alone in the SEC, but in the NFL he's going to have to become a much better route runner.

shite harvin could be better off possibly moving to a bush role in the NFL

thats how i think he will be used.

he'll be a 1st rd pick.

ETA: but he'll be a better vertical threat in the passing game

The Rams need to trade for all the first round picks and take Percy oh Mercy first. They need a whole lot but Percy can make shite happen and that would a be good change.

he seems to be even smaller than Bush and even less durable...could he handle that role?

your definition of durability is horrible.

he's missed 5 games in 3 years.

and been a virtual non-factor in 4-5 other games due to injuries. Missing or being a non-factor in 9-10 games over 3 years as a non-bruising RB due to multiple different injuries is not a picture of durability.

I guarantee that the 2 biggest question marks on harvin for the draft will be size and durability....with route running a close third.

feel free to bump this later and try to prove me wrong. you won't be able to. Or, if i'm so wrong maybe you can find some draft evaluations that cite durability as his strong point. You can't.

what? fragile? from a florida paper?

He has also been a fragile player. He has missed games with heel and hamstring troubles. He sat out a pair of games with migraine headaches.

when you are that good of an athlete, durability isnt in question when you have only missed 5 games in 3 years.

he missed games because of nagging little injuries...not like he has had 3 knee surgeries or broken bones.

he'll be fine.

spin it how you will. Virtually every draft evaluator will disagree with you and agree with me.
