Because an ND playoff spot means neither big conference gets a taste of that playoff money, and if they lock ND out they get more of that money. It's pretty clear at this point that money is driving all the decisions at this point, so it won't be long till they stop sharing money with ND for no reason.

Because a locked out ND is not going to be able to compete for the best recruits in the Midwest, California, and the South.

And, there will also be a little bit of "frick you" based on ND thinking it was special for so long, but mainly money and recruiting.

Who cares. The time for ND to shite or get off the pot was over a decade ago. I would not be mad if the B1G/SEC/XII/ACC left them in the dust.

I hate ND with the best of the them, and pompous it may be, but I’ll give them this, they stick to their guns. They don’t truly bend in terms of academics, independence, and their ways. Kind of like an old, cranky man.
