My Jr year in HS, we had 2 male cheerleaders (both SRs. They tried out and could do all the flips, etc you see male cheerleaders do. My Sr year, back to all girls since no guy's tried out.

They don't have to be cheerleaders in HS, they just have to be able to do gymnastics.

The cheerleaders, band, and players are all Cadets and Midshipmen..only people at that game that works for the schools who aren't members of the service are the coaches..Most of the professors are Service members as well...some are contractors, but most are Officers with Masters in the particular field..

I know..it's my next assignment...Math Professor at Westpoint..start my Masters in a year...4 1/2 year GIG (Army pays for 2 years of Masters school, and I get my normal salary, then 2 1/2 years of teaching), then back to the real army..they like to throw us a bone to keep us in...after 4 deployments..it's a good bone!
