they don't have the legit private and Catholic schools that raise the competition like they do in Louisiana... They have a lot of athletes in smaller schools but we only hear about 6A powerhouses

2005 Texas had a NC caliber defense overshadowed by VY. Without a couple of huge stops against USC... no NC that year.

TAMU's has been this way for a whi me. This scenario almost played out 7 years ago against LA Tech.
