Majority started disliking him after “The Decision”. Most of the people on here started hating him when he started speaking out about social issues and Fox News told LeBron to “shut up and dribble”.

In my view I think he wants badly to be seen as a transcendent figure like Jackie Robinson or Ali who uses his platform as a sports superstar to fight the injustices of the world.

But from my perspective he has no clue how to go about it and it comes off as forced, awkward and phony.

The problem with this argument is that people like Robinson and Ali were hated as activists also and it wasn’t relevant how they did things. This is basically a repeat of history to not like athletes who attempt to put in any significant work for human rights. You either like the fact that they are doing it or you don’t.

I think some people could give him a pass if he wasn’t hypocritical and inconsistent. He will cry about the plight of black people in the United States but then defend the Chinese who have an abysmal human rights record. It makes him look ignorant.

Do you really think Lebron would have survived the bad boy pistons and those knicks teams
The things they did to take out Jordan
Lebron would have sat out a lot more games

You make a very good and legitimate point. If TD were around at the time of Ali and Jackie, they would absolutely be getting the same treatment as Bronny is now.

But from my perspective, and I have the luxury of being able to go back and look at things with data and history right in front ot me, both...and I would say IMHO Robinson more than Ali, was much more thoughtful and purposeful in their efforts.

Robinson in particular was not a rubber stamp towing the party line just trying to say what he thought others wanted to hear. Robinson even came out against some of the causes of the day as being over the line.

I just don't think LeBron is in either of their leagues in regard to the ability to think on his feet and articulate in a manner other than for LeBron what he thinks the group he wants to love him wants to hear.

He wants to be them but he is not them and he never will be.

Yes to a degree, but Robinson and Ali were overcoming legitimate societal issues and fighting true human injustice. LeBron is participating in todays climate of manufacturing issues or conflating other issues.

For me the decision ruined him, it showed his ego, then Dirk showed him up terribly in the Finals with all time performance. Then he went full board with the de facto cultural ambassador of America and constantly put his foot in his mouth. Preferred the LeBron who dropped 29 straight vs the Pistons in the ECF.

I’d just like to know why all the Lebron fans can’t acknowledge his racist tendencies I’ve never seen one of them address the fake spray painting shite or any of the other stuff this board always complains about
Who exactly are you talking to on this site?

The Lebron hate goes so much further back than his socialist manifesto of recent years. People are trying to rewrite history on this site. Since I have been a member here in 2007 he has been one of the most hated figures here. It all goes back to him being the biggest “threat” to MJ

His biggest “fans” here are me shel, and Reauxl, who all started liking him simply because how ridiculous the hot takes weee about him before he won his first ring

We all would happily tell you he is an ignorant self absorbed idiot

When you say majority do you mean the majority of this website?

Because the majority of nba fans still like Lebron

He's widely disliked. You can look anywhere. Forbes has ranked him as one of the world's most disliked athletes

And you aren't? Me thinks you protest way too much.

Anything but basketball coming out of your mouth. Your agenda isn't that hard to get to.

He may have tried to get back at them, but
Rodman would be
In his
Head so bad…. And he would get crushed trying to drive the lane WITH 80’s rules.
