When a MLB pitcher beans a batter with a fastball....

... I think he's a complete jerkoff if he doesn't check on the guy or offer an apology.
No excuse - baseball is the only freaking sport on the planet in which you can put a guy in a life threatening situation and see somebody not apologize or offer his regrets.
Joe Kelly of Boston just beaned Kevin Pillahhh of Toronto.
Best part is that MVP and swaggy bro Josh Donaldson just yacked the very next pitch out for a grand slam.
Frick you, Joe Kelly

When I pitch I enjoy beaming people

He would have died if that hit him square in the face. I don't think Joe Kelly has a clue where the ball goes after it leaves his hand.

He really doesn't.

I'm not gonna lie, that grand slam didn't bother me. Sometimes the baseball gods actually get things right.

I know - it's probably the most dangerous moment in all of pro sports save for a racecar getting air and flipping.
It's crazy that Steve Atwater, Ronnie Lott, and Lawyer Milloy can kneel and pray for an opponent that is concussed, but a MLB pitcher can't even tip his cap or offer a wave of apology when he hits a batter in the damn face with a 95 MPH fastball.
And you're not fooling anybody with the bullshite "tough guy" act, especially when the next pitch is jacked out of the yard.

Meh, lets see if he apologizes after the game.

Pitchers intentionally throwing at guys when they're mad about the previous guy's bat flip(not even the guy they're throwing at) or for whatever reason is by far and away the most cowardly act in sport going.
It's dumb to whine about it to begin with, but at least have the guts to meet the dude on the field right after he does it and handle it then.

How does an apology help anything?
And he may apologize after the game. Even if a pitcher sucks I'm sure he likes to stay very focused

That wasn't the situation. It was a 1-2 or 0-2 count with the bases loaded.

You're pretty off, and here's why.
No pitcher would ever hit a guy in the head on purpose.
It's clearly an accident. The look from both players says it all, and relays the instant message.

All of this based on the responses, it's obvious who wasn't a baseball player.

Jose Fernandez hit an umpire on Thursday and asked if he was ok. I don't get your point here

For those who don't know....
If a pitcher stares at the batter he just hit; it was on purpose.
That's the only free bit of info I'll give this thread..
Ok back to the SOX and LSU games.
(I'm watching both)

Especially in the AL. At least in the NL the pitcher has to cone stand in the batter's box.
