Jokic doesn’t come close to Shaq in defensive presence. Shaq wasn’t a dominant defender but he was above average.

I’ve got no issues with anyone listing Shaq, but I can’t unsee 30 something Hakeem blasting through Clyde Drexler/terry Porter, Barkley, Stockton/Malone, and Patrick Ewing for a ring where the second best player on his team was . . . Otis Thorpe or Vernon maxwell. And then coming back the next year and sweeping Shaq out of the finals.

Lebron
Bird
Hakeem
Magic is better than Steph, clearly, but his skill set is somewhat redundant with lebron and any all time 5 needs at least 2 guys that can kill you from 3.

Hakeem blocked 376 shots in a season. Nobody in the NBA has had 300 in the last 20 years or come close to 376 since he did it.

Yea he got to 300 in 2003 I think it was? Or was it 04? 19-20 years if I’m off by the year.

Jokic has a better defensive rating than Shaq too
He’s not a blocker, but he plays great defense with positioning and smarts. For example, in game 4 when he was primary defender he forced a 3-19 shooting performance.
