Great Draft. 2004 Was also a GREAT draft. Those two and 84 can contend too.

It's sad, Kerry Kittles was my favorite player growing up.

I've always been partial to 92 and 96.

92 had a bunch of guys with 8-10 yr careers, even if they weren't stars. notables:

Shaq
Zo
Mourning
Jim Jackson
Sprewell
Clarence Weatherspoon
Gugliotta
Robert Horry
Malik Sealy (RIP)
Walt Williams

2nd Round
PJ Brown
Matt Geiger
Popeye Jones

All but the Wizard and Geiger were on NBA Jam at one point. That's impressive.

Pretty good year, but hard to top 1984. 4 Hall of Famers, plus a good number of guys that were solid players for years.

that pic's got at least three -- Bryant, Nash, Allen... and a handful of solid players.

1984, 1996, or 2003. '03 has lost some of its luster though with the way people have soured on Melo and Bosh in recent years.

96 has 4 Hall of Famers as well (Nash, Iverson, Bryant, Ray Allen).

It's too early but 2003 may have four as well with LeBron and Wade as locks, and Bosh and Carmelo certainly possibilities. But 2003 also had a lot of flops. Just look at these lotto picks: Jarvis Hayes, Mike Sweetney, Darko, Marcus Banks, Troy Bell, Reece Gaines.

almost impossible to believe 12 teams passed on kobe bryant. at least 8 if you take out teams that picked an iverson or camby or allen.

They passed because his agent told the Nets and another team if they drafted him he would go play in Italy. He wanted to play for the Lakers. So the Hornets agreed to draft Kobe in exchange for the Lakers sending them Divac.

Yeah there was a lot of bad lotto picks in that year's draft. However there were some very good players drafted later like David West, Josh Howard, Kendrick Perkins, and Mo Williams. 1996 was really deep though. Prime Peja was a MVP candidate with the Kings, Jermaine O'Neal was the best player on a 60 win Pacers team, Camby won Defensive Player of the Year, and Big Z made several all-star teams. It was also the last year before the onslaught of high school kids and one and done guys declaring for the draft.
