What superstars are unanimously considered "likeable" on and off playing surface?

Name that pops up for me is Tony Gwynn. Nobody disliked Tony Gwynn, unless he was destroying your team’s pitcher. But despite how utterly brilliant he was at the plate, I don’t think he’s a “super star”. As in, my wife would have no fricking clue who he was.
Gretzky? I was too young to really remember or care what people thought of him off the ice.
MJ, while beloved as a GOAT and competitor, isn’t a “likeable” guy at all. He’s a prick.
Sampras? Agassi? Phelps? Joe Montana? Unitas? Terrell Davis?
The homer in me wants to say Brees. I feel like he’s extremely likeable outside of football.

Tom Brady. One of the nicest guys ever. He's nothing like his playing persona.

This is the antithesis of what I'm looking for.
He comes off to the public as incredibly unlikeable.

Believe it or not, A-Rod is a good dude in real life. Met him in the Bahamas and he actually played dodge ball with my kids and nephews.

Adrian Beltre seems like a good choice.
