take the oline...If they can work out a deal for albert they have potential bookend tackles for relatively cheap for 4 years.

You would be the worst GM ever. They could have the 85 Bears D and not make the playoffs with their offense.

they should be the 49ers the way the Chiefs pick d-lineman in the first round: Glen Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, Dontari Poe

Take a tackle and keep Alex Smith upright, or experience Matt Casell deja vu.

I'm assuming they'll take Joeckel. Andy loves his OL and it's their biggest weak spot.

Hence why I said IF they can work out a deal for Albert?

You do realize the franchise tag doesn't have to be a permanent thing right?

You take the best player available.

Which is Luke Joeckel.

Under the new CBA, they are getting a bargain for his services over the next few years.

The Chiefs could still take Joeckel and play him at guard his rookie year before eventually moving him back to LT. The Ravens did that with Jonathan Ogden in '96 when they had Tony Jones at their starting LT. It ended up working out pretty well for the Ravens. But it's pretty apparent that the Chiefs are attempting to trade the pick. They're hoping that some desperate team will give up a number of high draft picks to draft Geno Smith with the #1 pick. Maybe a team like the Jets who will have three picks in the top 34 if they trade Darrelle Revis to the 49ers for their first and second round pick.

Man sucks to be them. Next year it's prob Clowney, fn Lawrence Taylor 2.0. Maybe a trade including a high #1 next year? I think you have to go OL. Be better to trade down but I don't see it happening

Charles, Bowe, Moeki, Baldwin will be pretty good with a decent QB (Smith is that) and they are only a bit (2010) removed from winning that division anyway.

3. Youre a homer

I am not a homer Jarvis was the best LB in College last year period. KCY needs help on D and he would be an immediate impact player.

They have 2 proven players at that exact position already. It would be stupid to use the #1 pick on jones.

This just excites me for the draft. Love the draft

Just hope we can get some actual pcks this year without Berman shoving his fat face in the picture to ruin the pick

They've already invested there in recent years.

Eric Berry
Tyson Jackson
Glenn Dorsey
Dontari Poe.

4 out of the last 5 years they've drafted defense.
