I know it was Nike, but what was the actual shoe? Has it been reported? Honestly who would wear Nikes after this?

I’d be surprised if Nike ever sold a shoe again

I read it was a preproduction Nike shoe so you can't buy it yet.

Those Nike shoes are gonna kill somebody. Phil Knight has lost control of Nike quality control.

It's going to end up either being a Nancy kerrigan type of set up, or a big bettor sabotage.

Book it.

PG 2.5, same shoes Reid Travis was wearing Tuesday when he sprained his knee

Edit: His didn’t explode, though.

The PG 2.5 is designed for the game's most versatile players. It's light yet strong, with a supportive strap and comfortable cushioning that responds to every fast, focused step.

For real, Pistons trainer Arnie Kander was complaining like ten years ago about how a lot of superlight technology was taking needed support out of the shoe and leading to injuries. I'm guessing the materials have gotten a lot better since then, so maybe this was just a bad glue job. A 280 lb dude is going to put a lot of force down.

Yet again proving that Nike shoes are really shitty. Their marketing department is great, though.

ESPN probably started filming their next episode of “Sports Science” before the sun came up this morning.

How do you blow out a brand new shoe? Given to a multi million dollar athlete?
