I'm 190+... there are some asian league guys at All Star Lanes that beat my arse 3 out of 4 times... i roll 228 and they roll 235... i roll 242 and they roll 250+... it's incredible to see/compete against, but in no way are they PBA material... i guess they're just gamers

A 600 series is nothing to scoff at. I actually had my 700 series before I ever had a 600 series. I guess you could say it was my night.

Most league bowlers at your local alley that take it semi-seriously carry a 180-210 average. I usually had about 202. Wife was around 150.
I'd say anything over 120 is pretty good if you rarely ever go.

My best is somewhere between 170-185 but I can't remember the number. I went this past week for the first time in 6 months probably and bowled 155-151 which I was really happy with

People can bowl pretty high on rec league lanes.
Which is why you see quite a lot of great scores...and 300 games.
The Pro game is not remotely the same to your local haunt. They have greased lanes and the game is engired for higher difficulty....just like golf. Amateur bowling scores are great for high fives and free beer but those scores are like muni golf scores...a nice achievement, but the playing field is not the same except among your buddies. Still, anything over 200 at your local alley is great quality for the average Joe.

I used to bowl in a weekly league at work. We'd go eat lunch there and bowl two games each. They handicapped us and everything, and it moved each week. I averaged around a 130-140 without the handicap.
One week, I couldn't knock down more than a few pins on my first roll, and that meant not a lot of spares. Bowled like a 57. The very next game, I found a rhythm and was knocking out 8-9 on the first roll consistently, with a few strikes sprinkled in there, and ended up bowling over 220 that game.
