What if it comes out that McQeery was a victim

back in the 80s?
That would explain some things.

McQueary was a highly recruited high school quarterback. It is unfathomable that if Sandusky raped or molested him as a child, he would have then chosen to attend Penn State, where Sandusky was on staff. And then, later chosen to work there.
He would have accepted one of his many other offers and gotten the hell out of that place.

He was hired a year after he went to JoPa with the story. Payment enough.

That's what I thought too.. But what about all the others that knew & said nothing?

why report that you saw another boy being violated so many years later when you aren't reporting yourself.

McQuery had a stable home life growing up and was not the easy victim that Sandusky targeted.

There is going to be a lot of info coming out down the road in this trial and MM is a key guy for many reasons. He knows as much as anyone

His targets were probably all second mile kids...I'm sure they are more venerable. What a sick frick!!

The only way I see him innocent in not reporting this AND being a victim is if he had
Repressed Memories and/or Unconscious Memories and/or Multiple Personality Disorder.
But all of this is mute because we know he has a functioning memory because he reports what he saw to Perterno. So by definition his memory is not repressed.

McQueary was not a victim.

I think that is absolutely a possibility. Particularly if he never told anyone at the time. And whoever thinks he wouldn't go to PSU if that had happened is naive in the extreme. Your entire family and everyone you know is wanting you to go to PSU and if you don't go, you have to tell them that Jerry Sandusky cornholed you once when you were a kid.
And further, he had been around long enough to know that the cops wouldn't do anything. I mean just look at things today. Sandusky is out of jail and walking around State College in PSU gear. McQueary is in hiding because of all the death threats he has received.
Do you think there isn't a little part of McQueary that wishes he had never said anything at all to anyone and just turned around and walked away? Can you blame him?

Why would he admit to seeing Sandusky rape a mid but not admit that he was raped?

So, would you tell someone if you saw someone getting fricked in the arse?

See the difference?

Well, that makes his father some hell of a man, doesn't it?
Because, if it was my son - and it was somebody I worked with that did it - you would only have to worry about 1 trial - mine.

Why do you think he would have even told his father? That isn't something a kid brags about. Most victims NEVER tell their parents.

Well, that's another thing - you have to know your kids. And if the father didn't know it was going on before, or at least suspect, he would have after the extreme change in his son.
Anyway, like I said, 1 trial.

McQueary did more than anyone else who apparently knew, or strongly suspected, what Sandusky was up to. Was it enough? Obviously not. But what I'd like to know is the kind of pressure brought to bear on McQueary to sit down and shut up once he did go to Paterno, the AD and the head of the campus police. I think there's a good chance that will be an interesting side story.

It's pretty obvious you don't have kids or else you are pretty clueless. Kids are pretty damned good at hiding things from their parents. It is pretty much what they do. Throw in parents with busy lives and add a pinch of "I don't even want to think about that sort of thing" and many, if not most, parents will be completely in the dark.

I got blasted for this last night. MM was born and raised in State College and grew up around Sandusky. It's really not that shocking if he turns out to be a victim.

Problem is you just have no idea what happened! Mc may have beaten the crap outta Sandusky and called the campus cops! Jo pa and AD show up and calm things down. PSU mafia meets next day with Mc and gives him the choice play nice or you and family have a tragic accident. Far fetched? Maybe so. But with the crap coming out you just have no idea! The more I hear the more I believe there is a PSU mafia that is ruthless!
