Exactly.

These last few posts have proven my point about subjectivity.

That said, I don't believe that there is a way to have a 100% objective determination of which team is the "best" team.

Completely agree

None of this matters, everything is now based on ESPN's Eye Test, as we learned last year, when one team had a far superior résumé than the second team selected to play in the BCSNCG.

It's sad that as good as last season's LSU team was, nobody remembers their resume. They can scarcely recall LSU's epic road victory over Bama. All people remember in the BCS era is who won the BCSCG, and the manner in which they won it.

Best LSU team I've ever seen take the field, and best pre-bowl resume in the bcs era by miles.

I will never get over those players not having a championship.

I don't know, I think LSU's 06 team was better.

LSU 06 might have been better, but 2011 had a top 5 resume of all time

Yep. Beating Bama in the BCSCG would have cemented their legacy as one of the greatest CF teams of all time.

I don't understand what you're asking because "best" is subjective.

For example, how can you not rank ND No. 1 this year. Are they the best? Probably not.

if you think Alabama or Florida are better?

personally the SEC champion was always going to go to the BCS CG. the debate should have been between ND and Florida
