You know the NCAA moved up the Utah Regional in softball don't you?
If they're the host, let them play Thursday-Saturday. If they aren't hosting they shouldn't be dictating the schedule

It's not a right to field a team in college sports. Lots of schools don't play certain sports.
NCAA is secular, sports is secular. BYU can't be half-in and half-out when it comes to being a part of collegiate athletics or joining a conference.
This is also why they have trouble finding conference suitors...they have so many restrictions even outside of sports. It's not about the higher purpose of education or athletic grooming - it's mission policy in education is about being a better Mormom by going to BYU. This is what has traditional turned off the Pac-12...their education focus is Mormonism no matter your major.
The BYU student has to take 14 credited hours of "Mormon classes" to get a BA degree.
Two Book of Mormon courses -4
One Doctrine and Covenants course -2
One New Testament course -2
Elective Mormon studies courses -6
I think it's unfair to opponents to basically have to adopt BYU's policy by proxy and play when BYU when BYU says you can play them. That's B.S.
There's a schedule for everyone...everyone treated the same.
NCAA shouldn't be in the business of endorsing religion.

As long as everyone knows in advance, such restrictions aren't onerous...

I attended a Catholic University. At that time...All students fulfilling a degree requirement had to have at least:
9 hours: theology : 3 hours of Catholic Teachings.
9 hours of philosophy:
6 additional hours of philosophy or theology.
24 hours/120 hours BS ~ 20 % of degree requirements.
