I don't see it on any articles.

ESPN message board was GOAT ended due to PC

They realized the best way to silence their critics is to not give them a voice at all

Facebook comments is what I'm talking about. Figured it was some "bullying" related reason.

Beano Cook doesn't do weekly chats anymore either.

I remember it used to be a troll fest. Fun times before they made you link it to FB.

Um they had comments as recently as 2 days ago.

I remember when they used that live update BS. That was the beginning of the end.

This is honestly just a guess.
But I'm sure they squashed it hide any and all conservative opinions.
They probably got bombarded in the comment sencrion and didn't want anyone to know that conservatives were out in force.

That and spam. It got to the point where you couldn't hold a conversation during baseball games because of blast spamming

I miss the CBS Sportsline board

Lets not act like those sections ever had any exchanges with value... Those were unreadable troll and spam fests

I miss Bill Ontario.

The troll fests certainly had some value. I had some good times trolling the frick out of people on there.

There was usually a good one liner as the most liked comment though.
On the Robert Williams situation a couple of days ago
“When scouts said he was a sleeper in the draft, I didn’t think they meant it literally.”

They know that nobody is going through the trouble to call ESPN’s customer service department. Even if they did I imagine it’s about like dealing with the shittiest insurance company on the planet
