No one said that the trade with NYK has to be between solely the Pels and Knicks.

And you want to surround him with Lonzo Ball, who apparently doesn’t like to play in “cold cities” like New Orleans.
His dad isn’t worth the headache, either.

Unless the Pels REALLLY like someone (eta: after Barrett), the Knicks have more to offer the Pels than the Lakers by a good bit Knicks being at 3 and Lakers at 4 is big.
Mitchell, #3, Knox, DSJ, Dallas 2021 unprotected and one other pick beats the Lakers poo offer. Mitchell is arguably the best of the player pool, RJ >>> #4, Ball doesn’t want to be here, kuzma >>>>>> Knox though.
I just don’t see it. Boston beats everyone though. If New York wanted to push all in, since Memphis has Conley, they could trade #3, Knox, Trier, DSJ, future pick probably for #2 if they really like Barrett. #2, Mitchell, couple picks for Davis.
I’ve got two dark horses and an obvious one for you:
Portland with a CJ centric package (never mind I think Lillard is under a Rose Rule Extension, so run into a problem)
Denver with a Murray centric package
Clippers with an SGA/Shamet/Harrell/2021 Miami unprotected/2020 Philly (lottery protected)/2020 Clippers unprotected beats the Lakers too

Zion. Rj. Reddish. Ja.
Reddish doesn’t belong in this. He is a lottery pick on name alone. Low IQ player, super inefficient, ball stopper that launches contest shots. No thanks.

Just stop. No one wants ball like i said and ingram could have issues long term. You have no idea if that will be the case
Or did your inside sources tell you it wont be

Sure guy. You are a true basketball genius. You can barely spell or get a coherent thought out. No one gives a frick what you think.
Try to think a little more 3 dimensional about roster construction and try to figure out why people would be opposed to the Lakers...”assets”.
Think about BI’s massive uncertainty and his contract.
Think about Kuzma’s hip and his comments, repeatedly, about small markets. And his contract length.
Think about Ball’s baggage and his comments regarding “cold markets”.
Think about having the 4th pick in a draft with 2 great players, 1 more high end one, and then a bunch of guys a mixed bag.
Think about having no other pick assets from other teams.
Now, are you starting to understand?
You have to not only find the complimentary talent, but the right roster fits, the right contract futures, and the right attitudes to rebuild your franchise.
The Lakers are not a good fit. That is nothing against your teams young players. It’s possible to say individual pieces are better but don’t work for us.
Do you understand that?

Nothing. AD will leave and then Zion will leave when he can. Pelicans are the most forgettable franchise in the NBA.

Since when is Reddish the consensus #4 prospect? I’ve seen garland ,culver and hunter all over him.

So what good will a one year rental do for the NYY?
