It doesn't hurt they been in the CFP Playoffs 3 years in a row.
this ignores the fact that it was occurring before those 3 years in the playoffs. It's why they got into the playoffs, so the point is irrelevant to the entire purpose of the OP.

It doesn't hurt when you have Alabama's next coach. That's a big pull.

funny thing is Clemson fans were pissed when they hired Debo. Sounds so familiar

Kinda does, we did years before they did with Mike Archer. Didn’t really work out for us then, though.

Then we go and hire a guy who has the worst tenure ever as a HC at our oldest rival. I sure hope he’s not in over his head.

Dabo is at heart a salesman and he's got a great product.

Winning, a great recruiting staff and ,contrary to what some say here, tons if kids and families love the setting at Clemson. Have heard many comment on how beautiful and tranquil it is there. Having been there, I personally don't see it but I also have been to VT many times an youd. never guess that place could be so loud and that kids would actually go there. Of course VT doesn't recruit in the same atmosphere but getting any kid with options there is a win.

It’s not only athletes. Out of state applications are very high. It’s a fun place to go to school. A small school in a small town with big time athletics with tons of outdoor activities. Basically the only adults you see are professors or university staff. It’s heaven for 18-21 year olds. Was always strange to go home during holidays and see people older than college age.

They were also good prior to the playoffs appearances as well. They won 10+ games in each season from 2011 to 2014.

That guys is a dumbass. Obviously they wouldn't have sustained that level of recruiting if the success (CFP appearances) didn't follow the early recruiting success.

It is about the only thing to do around there unless you want to drive 25-30 minutes to Greenville. There ain't shite around Seneca, Pendleton, Central, or Wahalla.

Clemson itself isn’t that great, but there is tons to do nearby driving distance.

It has whatever a college kid needs. Are you wanting to cruise a mall or burn your parent's credit card on white tablecloth dining?

Same can be said about any other college in the country.

I got to tour their new football facility right before it opened. The place is incredible. There even a “nap room” with bunk beds where players can take naps. After seeing it, everyone was saying, “How can a recruit not want to go there?”

Simple answer: they win and they consistently put players in the NFL. Selling an NFL presence is the best sales pitch for recruits.

Apparently not ALL recruits are blown away, if recruiting rankings are correct. Another thing this indicates is how much Better a coaching job Dabo does than the little fella, who was number 1 each of these years.

2013: 15 Clemson
2014: 16 Clemson
2015: 9 Clemson
2016: 11 Clemson
2017: 16 Clemson

The place is a cult, but they do what it takes to win. There is a uniformity of action in their commitment to football success that is only eclipsed by Alabama.

Dude.

You guys fricking play that goddamned shitty Sandstorm song at football games and lose your freaking minds. Lay off on the cult accusations.
