I actually like him because he's about the only one since college that seems to be genuine as can be.

I tried to even hate him at Florida and just couldn't.

A friend of mine interviewed him at the Dove Awards (the Dove Awards are basically the Grammies for Christian music), and she was really impressed with him. From everything I've seen, heard, or read about him comes off as genuine.

I think he's a really good guy, just a bad QB who receives too much credit for his team's efforts.

I hate the narrative that's built up around him, just as I hate the narrative that was built up around Mark Sanchez over the last two years, and the narrative built up around Vince Young before him.

Those three are simply not good quarterbacks, yet people are running around praising them as if they are.

What world do you people live in? I saw another poster say how he hated how much Tebow was praised. What!? More than half of the football world seems to hate him, and 80% of the "experts" thinks he is worthless. He should've been a Raider. Just win baby

The NFL is a meritocracy. Tebow is viewed by most as a situational player being given starter minutes largely because of fan pressure rather than earning those minutes with superior ability. It's kind of like the Reggie Bush situation with the Saints in a way. The non believers thought he wasn't much more than a very overpaid 3rd down back while the believers thought he was a difference maker. In the short term the believers were right and Bush certainly played a big part in the Saints Super Bowl run, but in the long term he'll never live up to the hype he had coming into the league. The same "they're both right" situation will probably happen for Tebow. Short term he can overachieve but long term he won't be able to escape the limitations of his skill set.

I don't give a flying frick what some talking head on a television says, by the way.
