Urban legend says John Daly was the only one to ever reach the old #18 at MSU in two.

Impressive. This would have been about a 395 yard cut for Bubba. Water and trees left, fairway runs out with trees straight ahead. I can't even imagine how it would have been possible

Maybe #Stash Haha can chime in on this, but Daly is the first to reach #9 at English Turn in one as well.

Daly really is The Golf Board Smash Lab #Nitro living legend.

Well lob wedge on 16 ain't that impressive. I've hit PW there before from the one ups. The shot on 9 has to be an urban legend

ETA: scratch that, it was a 9i. Sometimes that fairway really rolls out

I only have a vague idea of how 18 used to play at MSU. I know it was 600+.

I like the new 18. Good finishing hole. It's not that long, but that is one hell of a green to try and stick a long iron or wood.

First time I ever saw Daly was 15 at ET and he hit a snap hook 6 iron off my thigh trying to hit the green in 2 and I was on 16 tee box, he did get up and down for birdie though....

Every time I'm in Philadelphia I hope to run into Daly. He's there a lot apparently.

One guy I ran into on a blackjack table had just played with JD up in Nashville. Then he whips out his phone. What video does he show?

You know, a video of a drunken John Daly hitting a golf ball on a tee out of an equally drunk friend of the guy at the table. In the parking lot of some bar. There is no telling where the hell that ball went.

I will say this.. I roomed in college with a guy that won the remax long drive championship a few years after college ... Bubba is longer than him and its not close .. I have never seen daly in person but I would have to think that bubba is longer than daly ever was (even when technology is factored in) ..

Manzella has a great story about daly .. There is an audio clip out there somewhere let me see if I can find it ..

Bubba is the longest on tour right now I believe. He's hit several over 370 in that elevation this week
