If your league is 12 teams deep, the answer is yes. I missed the game this week (traveling), but it appears that the Saints are going to continue to tweak things until they get the right combo. This is what I read about picking up Deuce (who is already gone in my league anyway):
quote:

McAllister is available in about 55 percent of leagues.
In Week 4, he rushed 20 times for 73 yards and a touchdown. He also had one reception for another 10 yards.
After seeing spot duty during the first three weeks, McAllister was a big factor in Week 4 and showed some signs of the McAllister of old. While his knees may never be the same, he was utilized 21 times, including seven plays within the red zone.

If your choices are Ray Rice or the Deuce, I think the answer is clear.

why do you say that?

Just my opinion. If he wants numbers and stats, I am sure he can read them. I am not saying Harrison won't get his this season, I was just offering my opinion for this weekend. You can twist and turn numbers to make anyone look better than anyone else in one particular weekend if you look hard enough.

ex.: Who is better on days after the 15th of the month where the weather is under 74 degrees against a QB with a shoe size larger that 11 1/2 and whose mascot does not include the color orange? Like I said, just my opinion.

Each league has its own rules on the waiver wire, so you need to check the rules. There are two common ways it can work. (1) First come, first served, or (2) predetermined order. First come, first served is rare, but it means that whoever gets the request in first, gets his first choice of pick ups. Then second gets his choice and so on. When everyone who put in for a request has had one chance, then the list starts over.

Predetermined order can work a couple of ways. Some leagues use a reverse standings method where the worst team gets the first selection. Our league uses an order based on draft position and then moves the person who makes a pick up to the bottom of the list. Regardless of which order you use, if this is your league's method, six teams will have an opportunity to pick up a player before you will. If your choice is not picked up by those six teams, you get him. Good luck.

see, there you gave reasons for having an opinion....i also did too. i am asking WHY you have that opinion

i mean, if you don't think harrison should be played, and it your opinion, can't you explain why?

the method of using history and previous statistics works in betting all the time

None. Every team has to put in its requests prior to noon on Thursday. Sometime after noon and before Friday morning, the commissioner goes down the list and awards selections. If you are concerned about the player you want being selected prior to your turn, then you have to put in alternate choices. So, for instance, last week, I wanted to drop Bulger and pick up a back up QB. I put in for Griese and told the commish that I'd take Orton instead if Greise was gone, which he was. Most teams put in one to two alternate choices each week.

Only time will tell. Problem with Warner is that he will light it up one week and stink the next. Brees has also had a tendency to be inconsistent, but I think his really sucky games are behind him. On the WR issue, Jennings is probably more apt to hit big numbers than the consistent (but rarely explosive) Evans. However, if the Pack have Flynn under center this week, then your trade will be gold and you can let out a big "whew."

the defenses are a wash b/c you can always find someone out there to get through a week here or there

i'm not high on eli from here on out and think his stock was as high as it will be after week 2 or 3, but the addition of clark and barber are pretty nice
