Short game was awful today with all the soaked aprons
Putted terrible too
Still don't know how I shot 80
3 birdies helped I guess

I don't imagine JOAP and crew are having to much success today.

Only way to get into the 70's consistently is short game and more short game.

My short game could improve, but it's not what is keeping me out of the 70's.

For what is keeping you out of the 70s.

I'd say a 8-10 capper is missing 9 greens a round. Maybe 10-11. Get up and down 75% of the time and you shoot in the 70's.

Penalty strokes leading to a triple or worse nearly every round.
Out of my rounds where I scored 81-83, I'd say in well over half I had a triple or worse on the card.

Getting up and down 3 outta 4 times seems a bit aggressive for an 8-10 capper.

That's why you practice it until you can get up and down 75%. At this point you will cease being a 8-10.

Like I said, I don't think many 8-10 handicappers can get up and down 75% of the time on average.

Copper was set up to score today...pins werent overly tough and tee boxes were pretty far up with the wet conditions. 72 with 5 birdies ill take it...just wish i had gotten in to the red

Becasue most 8-10 hdcp. players spend 95% of their time banging balls 5% of their time at the bar.

Not the 8-10 handicappers I know. And certainly not I.
But what would an 11 handicapper know about this anyways?

I'm anywhere between a 12 and 16 and I spend 5% of my time banging balls and 95% of my time at the bar
