Whenever somebody would post something old someone would reply, "Did you hear Germany bombed Pearl Harbor?"

It stuck even though the phrase was wrong.

Going to hit the course with my playing buddy and another non-golfer. Hopefully it won't hurt my game watching him hack it up.

Why is that? Is it because it isn't Weavable certified? If you want me to take a dump in a box, and mark it certified, I can do that for ya'.

Not really for this board, but the lack of understanding of Memorial Day is astounding

You would be correct...I had to explain to two of our employees yesterday what "POW MIA" meant...

Not that it's ever a bad idea to say thanks to the living, but it's not what the day is about. I find it funny that people can't separate M-Day and Veteran's Day

We bought a flag pole and put an American Flag up. We got a POWMIA flag yesterday, which is why they asked. Then one of them had the nerve to ask why it was going up, especially for this weekend.

I just walked away...

This day seems to be an extension of last week since most have the day off.

Finally broke 90 yesterday with an 89 at Southwyck. Was playing from the black tees (5900 yards) because the people I got paired with we're playing from there, but if anything I think that hurt me because I had a shite load of 60-80 yard shots at the green. I hit 9/14 fairways but only 4 GIR. Also the closer tees (and a few beers) made me think that I could go for the green from the tee on a couple holes and that fricked me both times. Only 1 3-putt and the rest 2-putts.

Meh.. So every Par 3 was ~150, every par 5 was ~450 and every Par 4 was ~350?

I'd go low on that putt-putt distance.
