I'd be a great scramble partner for someone who can get off the tee. My tee game is just so inconsistent.

Also, whatever driving range mats they had at Spring Creek, they need to make a whole golf course out of that material. I hit maybe 5 bad shots on the range. I had some real false confidence going into the day.

I've started really focusing on the initial path that the ball needs to take to reach the eventual target. Worked really well so far. Pick a "lane" that extends about 15 yards past the tee box where it needs to start out. The rest takes care of itself if it starts out right.

A slowed down swing off the tee with driver in hand usually spells trouble for me too.
