Carter is in much better shape than the links. Links is going downhill for whatever reason. Like bandit said greens have no grass around them and fairways arent much better for middle of april. Looks more like middle of august drought out there. Played links last week and carter Friday. Only thing with carter is the tee boxes were complete shite. #3 par 3 was like hitting out of a sand box. Most of them are like that. But the rest of the course is in really good shape.

Ya'll need to come play Lupton City Golf Course in Chattanooga.
It was the worst course I've ever played, but it was a blast. Drive the cart up to the fringe if you want. It was dead grass mixed in with fairway grass on the greens. Fastest greens I've putted on.
Told my brother to keep playing there. It's a good place to learn the game on the cheap.

and some leftover Mich Ultras people forgot at my apartment last weekend. My brother hit my driver a country mile....two fairways over. Under a tree and he decides to play a hero shot. I tell him to hit his 6 iron (I made him hit his 6 iron as much as possible, just to get him good with one club). He freaking launches it from under the tree over another row of trees and put it on the fringe. We had to be a good 160-170 out. I lost it.

Actually, I noticed he closes it a bit. Not as dramatic, but definitely a little closed. That made me laugh.
He was hitting some good shots. I forgot how awesome it was to hit a good shot when you first started playing. Went driver, six iron, wedge to about 4 feet and drilled his birdie putt on a par 5.
