Played Oaks in stead of Santa Maria. frick THAT COURSE!!!
Fairways and greens hard with no grass. Add in the 20 mph wind and it was very tough.
At least the weather is nice.
Any reports on Santa Maria? Planning on there tomorrow.

Every course will look rough this time of year. Give them a month and they'll be fine.

I thought the island was in pretty decent shape. Greens were pretty quick too.

Played today. Weather was great. Hit pretty well.
Tried to film a few swings, but I got one that was blurry and two that cut off half my swing.

Just got off the course. I stayed on the range for two hours after my round. For some reason I kept hitting my wedge and 9 iron fat. I added it up and it cost me 8 shots today.

Well, I'll give my recap of The Bridges, and the overall experience.
From the 1st box, everything was nice. The guy at one was really helpful. Asked if we had played, talked about certain holes, offered placement suggestions and explained pin placement.
Lots of long irons off the tee for me, but not next time. I like the course. Playing it for the first time was like doing homework. I'll hit a driver on a few more holes out there next time. The greens were in good shape. Could have been faster. But I thought they rolled well.
It's a tight course.
Nice playing a course that has some elevation in places.
I was told we can log onto their website for a good rate on a round.
Gonna try that out next time.

Got to squeeze in 9 uninterrupted holes at 5 o'clock today.
It was perhaps the best ball striking round of my life. Tee to green was my strong suit and putting was my weak link, which is usually the opposite.
After shanking one off first tee, I teed up another and bombed it down the pipe. Shanked another on my second hit, then recovered. From then on it was flush hit after flush hit. I had three or four holes in a row where I'd crush drive down the middle (doesn't happen a lot) and then strike the ball nice and land it on the green or just short.
It was one of those rounds that made you feel ready to play another round. I recorded a few swings Ill upload in the thread in a bit.
Funny story, I hit two balls on my 3rd shot for this long par 5. First one lands about 20 yards short of green, I ran it up on the green with my 8 iron. Second one was in between the green side bunker and water hazard. I walked up with my 8 iron and addressed the ball. Took a little swing, popped it up over the bunker. It took one bounce, hit the pin, and drained into the hole.

Love that course. It's in good shape and really challenging, and there's everything you can do and eat in a 5 mile radius.

I have not played there. How's that place set up?
I've never been up that way and had time for golf.
It is a nice part of the state, so I'm sure they have some badass holes.

My bil is a plastic surgeoun, but he's doing a final last year doing a hand fellowship in Houston.
My buddy asked about nagging pain in his left middle finger. I told him that the left middle finger was the only digit that got soar, or hurt after any round I've ever played too.
My bil explained that the middle and index fingers could be gone, and we'd still be able to play (at least swing
) I took a looser grip with that middle digit at Beaver today and had alot more shots between the screws with all of my iron shots, which made for a great feeing at impact. The results were inconsequential.
Nice day out there today.
