Don't think there is one to be honest.
The stat is that the super bowl loser is ridiculously bad in week 1 against the spread. Last team to cover the spread in week 1 as the super bowl loser, tha pats. Take that fwiw.
Lot of people think Tennessee is going to be good this year, even though they have a 2nd year QB and their best wide receiver is suspended.
The biggest deterrent of betting in favor of the pats seems to be their offensive line. Didn't look great in the pre season. Some people think they won't be able to protect Brady.
It's split down the middle as far as I can tell. For me personally, I think the Pats cover easily. Brady is gonna Brady and Belichik is gonna Belichik.
I got Pats (-5.5) for 7.5 units.
