We used to go 7 weeks to play for a natty

Not a big fan of using a bye or 25 day breaks as an excuse. We used to take 7 weeks off before BCS championships against LSU and Florida. Hold my beer over a few weeks to finally get healthy. Be better dopes.

Not even close.
OSU played 11/17 against Michigan
LSU played in December for SEC title game

I’m not a fan of byes and layoffs. See teams come out sluggish more often than not. The era of Big ten play ending before Thanksgiving resulted in a lot of duds. Meanwhile, others were playing Thanksgiving and during CCGs.
Might as well move to 16 and let them all play the same road. I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t happen soon

I think a bye is not a big deal when we used to end seasons 11/17 and SEC ended in December then played in January for a title.
