i haven't been too active in these NBA threads lately, looks like I'm missing out.

A preemptive good luck to the Hawks tomorrow, I'll have to watch tape delayed because of my work schedule, but I'm hoping they pull out game one for the sake of the series.

That actually sounds pretty accurate to me...

Some of these assholes never saw MJ play. The guy did what he wanted when he wanted. Everyone else was just an instrument in his choir.

So Michael was a better passer than Magic, better shooter than Curry, had a better fadeaway than Dirk, and was a better shot blocker than Hakeem?

A better offensive rebounder than Tristain Thompson too

Saw MJ play.

Michael was the greatest of all time. There will never be another like him. Kobe and Lebron aren't close. Steph, while a tremendous 3 point shooter, isn't close.

You laugh, I'm really not sure why? Let me be clear here, you do not agree Mike is the greatest of all time?
Posted on 5/20/15 at 12:20 am to WeBeezYoSuperBowl
I don't think anyone disagrees with that comment. He's the greatest. He's just not God.

God as in our heavenly Father above? No. He's human. He was a god on the court though.

This right here is the litmus test. I just can't take him seriously when he has such an opinion.

I'm actually irl beside myself. I was under the impression that Tbird was a knowledgeable and respected basketball guy.
Yet he questions MJ? Hmmmm :/

Show me a better player.

Again, he was the greatest and I don't think anyone questions that. I think people are confused by you saying he's the greatest in all areas. That's a little over the top IMO.

Michael is the best player of all-time, but that doesn't mean he is the best at every different facet of the game. It's that simple.
Posted on 5/20/15 at 12:28 am to Dawgsontop34
He wasn't the 3 point shooter Curry is. I made that clear the other night. Mike could score, defend, shoot, handle, and play the mental game. He would bust Dirk's arse. Kobe's arse. Lebron's arse. Curry's arse. Anyone's arse.
Lebron wears 23. Wonder why.

I'm questioning your hyperbole.
I just talk basketball. DGAF about respect or how knowledgable others think I am, especially on subjective matters.
Honestly, I shy away from comparing players across eras in which they didn't play. It's a dumb exercise.
