Baseball isn't putting a hold on its season for the Olympics
I wish we got our players involved more but this WBC is a good step forward. The Olympics will pretty much always be amateurs given when the games are

Why would MLB shut down in midseason? Hockey thought about it but needs exposure

The NHL does and I think it is great, but baseball is a different animal.

Baseball is such a rhythm sport. I don't think guys would like to have a break if they're in the middle of a hitting streak, etc...

Would be sad if the NHL doesn't compete, but I know it's a money dispute. However it has worked well in the past. Plus the guys really want to play for their country.
