it's really not that unusual man.

A&M players from 2009 class: 1 (he blew his ACL and is out for the year too)
2010 class: 15

Attrition is normal. And 45 scholarships over a 2-year period is hardly horrific.

once again we don't have the recruiting base like yall or LSU do.

We don't have the wiggle room to not add depth.

and didnt yall just have a class of like 35

The Big East was not as bad as the media portrayed it to be. Most years it clearly outperformed the ACC and the media would hide the facts.

Sure looks like that's the case. TCU and WVU look seriously outclassed in a big BCS conference.

Should we maybe give more than a couple of seasons before we declare things a total failure? I'm fairly certain that every SEC team except Alabama and LSU has had a year or two in the past decade where they would've been behind a few teams in the big XII this year--and Bama is pretty questionable on that.

Some of it was a down Big East, and some of it wasnt. Our problem right now is that we do not have the depth to steadily compete in the Big 12. We have only 12 seniors on our team. The 2009 and 2010 recruiting classes were not great, and most of those recruits arent on the team anymore. Plus Bill Stewart (bless the man) never recruited a full class and we are seeing the effects of it. Dana is trying to build that depth right now. It just is going to take time. Last year might have been a little better if we didnt have a damn Special Teams coach as our Defensive Coordinator (Joe DeForest) It sucks right now, yeah, but we will be better. I think the term "adjustment period" is accurate. As for basketball, the team is looking better than last year and we are seeing some improvement. Other sports are doing well too. WVU Womens Soccer (yeah i know who cares) has won the Big 12 title both years in the conference. Womens basketball is playing well. Its not all bad, and we will be better in the coming seasons.

I didnt read all of this thread so if this was already stated sorry.
