I know next to nothing about NASCAR, but hear Stewart's name quite a bit. Is he one of the biggest in the sport?

Sorry man it just seems like something like this is bound to happen when a guy is walking in the middle of the track during a race

well yeah it's obviously dumb, but you'd expect people who have been driving for years to know what they're doing especially a hall of famer who has been driving for 30+ years and has won countless accolades. You'd think a guy like TOny would have the minimal skills it requires to just go to the bottom of the track and stay at a minimal speed during a caution.

He is absolutely a hall of fame driver and one of the sports all time greats , like him or not ....
He is multi time nascar champion and race team owner ....

That being said I think it will take evidence that I didn't see in the video to charge him with murder ...

His reputation and status with NASCAR will take a big hit. .,...

Wait, wait, wait. I thought he wasn't in the second tier as successful/respected drivers.

I'm sensitive in the morning.

Epiphany- I don't even know why I am defending this MF'er. He sits in a car, drives in circles and makes more money than god. frick him.

Sprint cars are very hard to steer at slower speeds fwiw. They are designed for high speeds and drifting turns.

of course he is walking into danger there, but odd that the guy that does wind up hitting him is the very guy he had beef with.. the others had no issue avoiding him..

^^ and yes drift cars probably are. that would make sense.. it looks like he drifts right into him.

yea , but tony also sped up right before he hit him. Just stop completely if you think you may hit him. Also it's tony fricking stewert I'm sure he can handle a sprint car at low speeds with ease.

Dude, you are probably the most consistently correct poster on here but you are wrong about this thread. YES, the retard walked onto the track but TS absolutely could have avoided this.
