I wonder what Home Depot thinks.
I'm sure they don't care since they don't sponsor him anymore.

The dead guy acted like an amped-up 20 year old. He made a terrible mistake, and Tony killed him for it out of anger. Not that he was trying to kill him, but he wasn't trying to avoid him.
Or maybe Tony Stewart is not a good enough driver to avoid that guy?

Tony Stewart is in the top .00000001% of drivers in the history of the world. I understand there's a difference between "knowing" something and being able to prove it in court, but I don't see how anyone could retain any respect for Tony Stewart if he comes out of this without admitting fault.
Somebody convince me that a driver as good as Tony is could accidentally get his back end loose and hit that guy.

Home Depot has not sponsored Stewart in over ten years. Both Mobil One and Bass Pro sponsor him in the NASCAR cup series and in Sprint cars. They have both been a sponsor of Stewart before he raced in NASCAR.
Continue on with your predetermined opinions.

which are? That he is a known a-hole and has a temper? Are you disputing this? If so based on what?

Tony may have not known the other guy wrecked.
Every time a question is asked to you guys who are adamant about Stewart hitting the guy in purpose, the question is never answered.

What question?
I would like to have reason to believe he didn't do it on purpose.

I don't think he intentionally meant to hit him with his vehicle. tony stewart isn't a total psychopath. he's got a temper and he's a hot head, but come on. there's no way he was TRYING to hit him.
now was he trying to "send a message"?
I think he was and he misjudged how close he was to ward.

From a post I posted yesterday.
quote:
Your argument is that because Smoke gets angry at other drivers and reporters he is a murder. Based on your argument the Bush brothers should have killed more people than Hitler.
I could find where almost every NASCAR driver has had a problem with other drivers. What some who don't follow the sport don't understand is that emotions are a large part of racing.
And to the other poster whop wants to know what question.
Why was Stewart mad?

no one with any honesty can believe this. he knew that the yellow was up, and i'm sure his crew informed him on his radio that the car wrecked.
come on man

I don't know if he was mad or not, but probably wanted to to one up ward while he was acting crazy on the track.

I think everyone takes a black eye. NASCAR looks clueless with how they began it's PR response. It will get worse as time goes on. TS will forever be seen as a murderer by a not so insignificant number of people. It's not like this is a case where something like DNA evidence comes along proving innocence - no will ever know for certain. His continued presence at nascar events will turn a lot of people off. Neither his ardent defenders nor those who calling him a murderer will ever be proven right. The lack of any resolve could taint nascar and the sport for some time to come, especially with TS out there week after week.
