He does see the id before saying name and if name on id says Johnathan then thats a tough argument to say he was being a dick. The cop didnt say cut atritude until jones just let him have it. I mean this.isnt the 1st time jones has acted about the law...he has a pattern so i dont know if this is the battle to pick of the cops were picking on him.
And if you ever want extra things on your ticket then cuss a cop..they can find something....but jones has never proven to learn that

He was a dick from the start
both were dicks but the Cop is supposed to deescalate the situation not make it worse.

Agree. 5 tickets for likely revving his engine and taking off fast. Probably not an actual race. Cop was a prick and should have handled it exactly like Walking Turtles said above.
His passive aggressive attitude escalated this to where it became and it was unnecessary. The cop should be a professional in this situation. But he wanted to be cute.
As far as Jones being drunk, he had an interlock device in his car. Thats what he shows him at the beginning when asked.

Is that not what he stated? That he didn't feel like talking to fans so he gave them a rev of the engine? If you have anything besides this video to refute that then I think it's fair to just say we don't know what happened. I certainly don't just take a cops word. Understand I'm not saying Jones is or isn't lying. I'm simply saying we don't really know.
He definitely acted out of line especially with cussing at a cop. But I've been in situations where I felt I was being wrongfully accused by a cop for speeding and another time for texting and driving and it took a lot for me not to tell him to go frick himself. Going through court over traffic violations is a pain in the arse.

He wasn't a dick from the start. He tried to interrupt and the cop asked him to let him finish and Jones said "okay, okay". I thought he was fine in the beginning and as soon as Jones tried to refute the ticket the cop immediately went on althe defensive. Then Jones got out of line.

You realize that just having the interlock doesnt' mean he was sober right?
And you also realize the he could have taken pills, been high, or any other number of things?
He didn't do a field test so nobody in the world knows whether he was sober or not. But I've surely been around enough "altered" people to realize when someone is probably not acting quite right. I've also never in my life heard someone slur their words over being angry, especially while in a seated and relatively calm position.

Jones asked why he didnt pull over the other car and cop saod other car slowed down while jones continued to go faster..i dont think thats a rev for the fans...maybe something rlse happened but a rev for fans is awesome defense

It's not even about defending him. More about those bogus charges and a lack of professionalism from the cop.
If I was Jones I just would have kept my mouth shut and waited for my day in court. Which he will probably win.

And to be as defensive as jones was from get go usually means something. He went from 0 to 100...which is also why he got pulled over
