Defenses don't seem to hold up in this league in the 4th quarter. Thin rosters.

That was one of the ugliest looking passes I have seen.

Philly’s starting qb played D3 football. That’s incredible.

J’Mar Smith is gonna get a shot at an NFL camp this fall because of the USFL.

He’s going from coaching at Huntington High School to potentially on an NFL roster thanks to this league.

What's even crazier is that he was the backup.

For anyone thinking of making a trip to Birmingham, I would recommend NOT coming:
1) All the parking lots they advertise as “available” right next to the stadium are actually “reserved” when you get there. 15 more minutes of driving and you can find a spot on the street in the ‘hood north if the stadium. Birmingham built the stadium with zero parking and it was a nightmare for UAB games and the Birmingham Bowl. Even with a sparsely attended USFL game, it’s no better.
2) Bought tickets at the window ($12 each, vs. $18.50 each with the fees from TicketMaster!). Idiot lady gave me tickets for the game NEXT WEEK. Ticket taker sends me back over to ticket window to swap. Finally in after standing in three lines.
3) 300-lb’er at Customer Service can’t even get off her phone to answer a question.
In short, this is done about as well as you’d expect a city like Birmingham to do something. Which is not well at all!

Dude, I've been to two games there and had no issues. I was in Birmingham and went to the UAB's first game in the stadium. I literally parked two blocks away for free on the street. I also was in town for the Birmingham Bowl and parked at a church about two blocks away for $20. Yes, black people live a few blocks north of the stadium, but they won't eat you.

Great start for the Breakers. They have a great game plan working.

Birmingham Bowl was a disaster. Garth Brooks concert will be, too. B’ham has no money for infrastructure—there’s no public transit and they did the same thing at Regions Field—built a stadium with no parking. Ironically, Legion Field is still a better venue.
I don’t want to hear anymore complaints about the empty stadium. It’s like they don’t really want you here. This is a TV league, not a fan league. That’s where I’ll be watching from now on.
ETA: But don’t believe me: Parking Issues

So basically, since you had a parking issue, you are encouraging everyone to boycott all events at the football and baseball stadiums? I have also gone to one of the baseball games. Parked about four blocks away in a pay lot. No issues. If you want to park in a large empty lot right next to the stadium, hold out for some of the games at Legion Field. Be glad that you have some inexpensive entertainment options. Don't accent the negative. You obviously aren't in a hospital today. It looks like a gorgeous day. Enjoy your family and the game. Stop yelling at the clouds.

Go Breakers!

The Breakers seem very well coached. They look very prepared compared to some of the other teams have been.

No doubt. The difference right now is coaching. This team has chemistry, too.

While most of the football has been decent in this league, the kicking has been horrible. I guess kickers that don't make the NFL go and get day jobs and aren't interested in a development league.

I just think with the short amount of time they've had to get the teams straight... special teams isn't high on the priority list at practice

Dude, I’m just not a Birmingham sunshine pumper like you are. It’s a third-rate venue in a third-rate city. If that’s your thing, go nuts. If you’re used to anything better, you’re not going to like it. All I’m saying. I don’t care what anyone else does. Just trying to frame expectations so they aren’t disappointed like we were.
Go Breakers (to New Orleans!)
