When OSU played them they were the #2 ranked defending champions, and we curb stomped them at their house who had a big question mark at the QB and some new faces on offense...hmmm sounds familiar...heading to play a #2 team at their place thats trying to replace some big pieces on offense...

Yes beating a team on par with Iowa that season is their example of a marquee win that shows they can win the big ones like the 13th in the coliseum

is this your one big win lately? is that what you were trying to say?
I would say so...unless I should be beating my chest about beating Washington, ND, or YSU...

Yes they were identical to the 2005 Longhorn team... no talent turnover there... especially at QB... fantastic example.
Ofcourse Michigan beat a #2 that year (ND) and tried to ride that momentum to a claim in the NC game.
Guess what kids, both of you were shown to be the frauds you were when you got arse stomped against your first real teams played.
Great examples, keep them coming

Defending Champs -Vince young = T A&M
doesn't count

Are you honestly retarded? That's like saying Kentucky was the best team in the nation last year because they beat the team that would become the national champs. You're taking one little fact and twisting it into some full blown overarching concept...using your logic Appy State would have done amazing in the SEC...since they beat a team that beat Florida...

It's called grasping for straws.

Why is this on the TIGER rant?

My assumption is the quality of the OSU chat boards is comparable to their team, and that is why they are over here discussing their phantom glory. Cant blame them for wanting to be around the best.

I forgot that 06 Texas had an entirely new team that was not part of the 05 team...when VY left everybody else jumped ship. I'm not saying the 06 team was on par with the 05 team at all - I'm saying that beating them was still a solid OOC win for the Buckeyes.
Nothing about USC scares me. Both defenses will be a push, and OSU's offense is >>> USC's.

Kentucky > LSU, so therefore they're the best in the country.
That's your logic, right?

No one is arguing you can't be solid teams. The argument is you fail to beat top shelf teams, and I believe you tried citing Texas as your example.
Again, tip of a hat if you win, but it won't happen

Sorry, your passing game is pedestrian at best and they will have more playmakers on the field on offense then Beanie and well a bunch of scrubs.

i dont think the bad part is that yall beat an overrated texas. the bad part is that your last big win was the beginning of 2006!

You are the one claiming a longhorn team that could not stop K State, lost their rival game against TA&M and should have lost to Iowa is an example of a top shelf victory. It is not one game extrapolation... you are holding on to this "they were #2" bullshite based not on one game, but an opinion before the freaking season. Seriously the retardation is centred in the Columbus-Dublin area.

A bunch of playmakers that have next to no game expirience...I'll take my 5 yards and a cloud of dust over a bunch of people that haven't played in a big game.

Dude, you are the one claiming they were a #2 quality team (wah wah why dont they count). I simply pointed out they were not a BCS team, should have lost their bowl game and lost to 2 mediocre teams during the season. Not one game, or 2 or 3.... you are basing you argument (they are #2) on a vote.
Seriously, I thought you were better at this then that.

Sanchez has more experience then the National Championship QB had starting last season.
Stefan Johnson, Joe McKnight, Bradford, Washington, Turner, Hazelton, Ausberry, Johnson etc... didnt play last year?
Has your five yards and a cloud of dust played against three linebackers with the size and speed that USC will be plugging the holes with?

What the frick should I say? Talk about how impressive of a win against YSU we had last year? How we piss pounded ND? How we beat the frick out of Michigan for the last 5 years? Nothing I present is going to be good enough for you, so what do you want from me? It is what it is, but dont fricking act like OSU plays in the MAC and has only had two marquee games in the last decade and we got piss pounded in both of them.
I'll take our pedestrian offense against an overrated and inexpirienced USC offense any day of the week.

I understand that your team did not give you much to work with..... I feel for you, I really do.

I asked for wins against top caliber teams... not my fault you have to reach so low because of the arse pounding you guys take when you play real teams.

I am only talking the past few years and the games speak for themselves. Your conference's record in the regular season and bowls, your teams performance... it is all there, no interpretation needed.

Again in their Big Game (rose Bowl) they seem to do pretty well. Apologies they only put 40+ up on Illinois. You guys in big games, well you can beat Michigan. Congratulations.
