It is weak sauce, but it would've been stronger if teams didn't back out of games. I don't mind the OOC since we will be breaking in a new QB.

Didn't realize somebody backed out. Who was it?

"We were supposed to play Kansas State, but they cancelled," Chip Kelly said. "We were supposed to play Tennessee, they’re not going to play us. We were supposed to play Georgia, they’re not going to play us.”
2012 - Kansas State - the Wildcats canceled the home-and-home with Oregon.
The Tennessee Volunteers will buy out of their 2013 football game at Oregon.
Tennessee and Oregon signed a contract for a home-and-home series back in 2005. In the first game in 2010, the Ducks crushed the Volunteers 48-13 in Knoxville.
The Georgia Bulldogs cancelled a 2015-16 series with the Ducks last September.
All these were agreed to before Oregon's ascension.
When the going gets tough, the "tough" cancel games.
Some say the UT game is still on?

Can't really blame UO if others are backing out then.

So no one on the DL has any weaknesses?
Objectively I am saying that was a subjective write up!
Thanks for the info.

Last I've heard it's still on. Good, cause I wanna see the meltdown on vol nation when they beat the hell out of em again.
Eta...Georgia is just a chump. Can't blame em for being scared.

I could fabricate something.

As much intrigue I have about the offense I can't wait to watch the D clock in and go to work.

Georgia and Florida think we still use trains to travel and leaving the South to play a football game is like going to Mars.
FWIW: Georgia's OOC future schedule

09/15 – Florida Atlantic ($1,000,000)
11/17 – Georgia Southern ($475,000)
11/24 – Georgia Tech
2013
08/31 – at Clemson
09/07 – Appalachian State ($325,000)
09/21 – North Texas ($975,000)
11/30 – at Georgia Tech
2014
08/30 – Clemson ($300,000)
11/08 – South Alabama ($900,000)
11/22 – Charleston Southern ($450,000)
11/29 – Georgia Tech
2015
09/05 – Southern ($650,000)
11/07 – ULM ($1,200,000)
11/28 – at Georgia Tech
2020-21
vs. Ohio State (2 games)

We can count on them buying out tOSU. Don't like them or their conference but they are better than the ACC.

Both Jordan and Hart were named preseason all pac 12 on the DL yesterday by SI. Keliikipi or Heimuli could be 2nd team. Hell, Juco kids rarely contribute as much as Remington did last year and usually they take a big leap forward in their senior year.
If I had to name a weakness, it would probably be raw strength. They aren't your squatty bodies like Woods. In fact, most of USC linemen are not tall. Williams was 6'5", right?
In fact, Oregon has Jordan (6'7"), Remington (6'6"), Keliikipi (6'3"), and Hart (6'6"}. The second group is Washington (6'3"), Ebert (6'5"), Heimuli (6'4") and Armstead (6'8"). The three deep includes guys like Buckner (6'7) and French (6'6").
They average a touch over 6'5" and average about 280 across the line (they posted their body fat this year and several of them are around 11% body fat). They are lean and well conditioned. This is why you see a lot of teams score in the first half when they are giving up a push but when stamina sets in they go into lock down mode. Stanford in 2010 and USC last year were able to get a big lead only to see Oregon come roaring back. This is partly due to the type of athlete in the trenches.
This line is bigger than we've had though. The 3-4 will have Remington (301 - 305), Keliikipi (295 - 305) and Hart (292). We are excited to see if these boys will no longer give up that initial push in the first half to great teams (i.e., Stanford, USC, Wisconsin, et al.)

Btw, do you want my "objective" subjective take on our linebacking corp and secondary?

Can't wait for Bo to get his shot! Dude is a ballhawk! Love me some Boseko Lokombo
This lb corp is gonna be the best in Oregons history.

The two OLBs in Jordan and Lokombo are going to wreak havoc. Furthmore, Alonso could be special. Just got to see some consistency from him.

I think Kiko will do his part. He's got an NFL body and he knows he needs to be a player.

That's like saying the PAC 10 was undefeated against the SEC when only USC was undefeated against them.
Let's wait a damn minute here. Not a single time during the last decade of success for USC have they played the best SEC team of the year. I'd argue that the only time they could truly have beaten any SEC team was in 04 when it should have been undefeated Auburn in the NC.
I am really hoping USC does go unbeaten and get to Miami because the SEC champion (LSU/Bama winner) would crush them.
