This doesn’t scream “holy cow they’re playing way above their heads” to you?

Turnovers against shite teams doesn’t seem to be something a team should hang their hat on.

I'm not saying they're a great team.

But Fresno and Oregon State aren't shite either.

It's like if you're not Georgia or Ohio State everyone else in CFB is labeled shite. There are good teams outside the Top 4.

Look at the trouble Texas gave Alabama who were lucky to win and they lost to Tech today.

But +14 in 4 games is unheard of for P5. It's a crazy stat and they needed all 4 turnovers tonight to win that game.

What was Iowa's turnover differential during the first half of last season?

They went from #2 in the country to Citrus Bowl loser once that leveled out.

ETA: They were +15 through 6 games. They finished the season +12.

Jesus, he's not trying to crown them champs, he's just noting something pretty remarkable.

A few years ago Houston led the nation at 3.3 takeaways per game, right now USC is at 3.5 takeaways per game.

More importantly they have not turned the ball over.

So their turnover margin is on record pace.

They've had 7 Ints and I think 6 were tipped.

How many defensive Heisman candidates does that give them according to ESPN?

Did you watch their game with Oregon State? The Beavers QB was throwing it directly to the USC players. It wasn't like they schemed the hell out of him. He just straight sucked.

Defenders have to be in position to make plays and then make them. It's not coincidental that this has happened for four straight games. It also helps when you have a 6'6" MLB that is really good at dropping into coverage, tipping and snagging passes. I found it a lot of fun to watch.

A wild — and telling — stat through four weeks: USC is the last team in the nation that’s yet to commit a turnover.

The Trojans are also No. 1 in interceptions (11) and tied for the lead in total takeaways (14).

USC is in double digits in turnover margin still.

Nobody else in the Nation is in double-digits.

They also lead the country in sacks and interceptions.

But they have one of the worst run defense in the Nation giving up an average of 152 yards a game and in the bottom of the Pac-12.

So the blueprint for Utah is just to run the ball...like they always do.

USC has forced 26 turnovers.

With a turnover margin of +22...which they've led the Nation from week 1.

There are lies, damned lies, and statistics. All I know is that USC stopped ND’s running game and forced a turnover to seal the win. I’m good with that.
