LSU plays as many as four out of conference cupcakes per year.
USC plays as many as eight IN conference cupcakes per year.
When LSU goes looking for a fruity-topped cupcake, we look to the Pac-10.
But, it is what it is. USC goes for it's sixth (or is it seventh ?) straight National Championship this year (bestest dynasty of all time !) and we are stuck with these lousy crystal balls and lousy matchups with Bama, Barn, UF, Georgia, etc....

I've never seen a team get luckier than against ASU and Oregon st FWIW

At least right now, it looks like it will be about the same

Explain?
And with Oregon State please do not bring up the 3 extra points cause LSU had a TD called back and missed a FG themselves 9 pts > 3 pts...

who, beating up on mediocre Tennessee?
So the SEC East is mediocre? Did Tenn account for all of the beatdowns?

Did you feel good about Serna missing 3 extra points?
People bring up how terrible the pac-10 is, yet LSU has had some of their tougher non-con games against bad pac-10 teams

I'd say Oregon/OU, but I'm not sure if rigged officiating would be considered luck or not

Don't fporget, it was raining in one of those games with Oregon State. And it only rained on LSU.

It would be USC that has taken advantage of and beaten up SEC teams...it has been SEC teams that have "beaten up" PAC teams as far as the score is concern and there have been close games as well that could have gone either way...but then again your definition of a blow out is a win by 7 pts...

Go back and read my post...people need to drop the excuse of the 3 extra points missed...

When I picked up my Phil Steele annual I had to look so far back to find the Pac-10 section that I thought it was in a sperate magazine.
The PAC-10 teams have been known to rise to the ocassion (like every other conference) but over the long haul of a season they are GLARINGLY MEDIOCRE.

LSU has as manhy wins against the PAC-10 as SC against the SEC. The record this decade remains that the cupcake conference has more than a winning record against the toughest conference. Take out the wins from the two programs of the decade and the PAC-10 winning percentage goes up.

A brief bump in the road, I am quite sure we can look back through the SEC's record against the PAC 65 - 41 - 7 that we can find brief periods of the PAC with a winner record...
