Creating a dynasty maybe!
For the hype that SC got the last 10 years or so, sorry to say, they have won exactly 0 BCS titles.

Yet they have two AP titles . And before you get into a poll argument, what do you think makes up 2/3 of the BCS?

It's funny how some LSU fans still have sand in their panties about this.

Ah the irony...yall kept claiming dynasties despite having failed to win ONE BCS title which has been the agreed standard for college football since 1998 and yet, keep dogging LSU fans for pointing out the obvious?
Back to your poll argument. Polls make up 2/3 of the BCS? True. But, if you really start using 1/3rd of your brain, you will understand that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Before you start this season, please let me know which Dickweed poll yall are playing for this season!
That said, I respect SC a lot and its tradition too. The bandwagon fans accumulated in the past decade are the ones I hate!

If USC is anywhere near as good as the preseason hype (highly suspect) - and LSU is as good as their ranking - TD.com is going to go full tard on both sides in the fall.

They did win a BCS title - just saying. Just b/c it was "stripped" some years down the road, doesn't mean they didn't win it on the field.

Who cares...BCS is dead...they can vacate whatever...their trophy is a relic. At least AP titles and trophy accounts for about 90% of National Titles that everyone on here, in college football and the world brag about when discussing their team...that is if you're over the age of 13 years old.

The BCS conglomerate is dead brah...that business arrangement was like New Coke. Hope you kept your cans.

I'll stick with the group that has been doing it since 1936 and doesn't need back-door dealings and sweetheart handshakes to name a champion.

Do you know, the BCS didn't even last as long as about 10 other now-defunct "title selectors" which are deemed irrelevant...and you think history is going to be kind to the BCS? It will join the ranks of UPI, Helms, Davis...and those other selectors Bama uses to add championships.

Most of this doesn't matter for posterity to those of you concerned...if you won the BCS title you usually won the AP - usually...so it mostly worked out.

You have exponentially more faith than I do in the integrity of the press

Members of the press openly lobby for their favorite teams and emotionally defend their preseason or pregame picks. You can't both cover the news in an interesting way and form an objective opinion.

The only unfinished business they have is to hire a real coach instead of that gimp they settled on. Now that they are off of probation and once Kiffin leads them to 3 losses a year, they will pursue a better coach.

No one was more critical of the Kiffin hire than me. I thought he was a good quote machine, but I was not a fan of his when he was the OC at SC. I would have preferred Sark over Kiffin, but UW snapped him up.

Thankfully, I have been proven wrong to this point. He led the team to a 10-2 season last season, and instead of tanking, they got better as the season wore on. Consistent improvement with a young team is a sign of not only talent but good coaching. He has also recruited very well.

Nothing but a bright future for Kiffin and USC ahead.

If you went back in time and asked USC fans about Kiffin in 2005-2006...most all would spout their dislike for him...and moan about not having Chow. He was given the keys to a Ferrari on offense and wasn't credited with anything except mucking things up if we lost.

If you went back in time to 05-05 I'd have said the same thing. I think Haden and Kiffin are yin & yang for SC right now. Good things are happening, and they are happening the right way.
