Yeah, WR is a major concern this year. We just have a bunch of slot receivers. We're really missing Juju and Darreus Rogers right now.

Yeah, that drive down the field with :45 left in regulation wasn't clutch at all.

He should definitely stay in school for one more year.

Without outside help, that's likely a different outcome.

Darnold is a gamer. Anyone that doesn't see that doesn't understand football. He's working with inexperience everywhere. That semi jump pass was unreal.

You could say that about anything. And you just did.

USC and Texas should be required to play every year

I think Texas really should have pushed for the PAC 16 without A&M. The Aggies fit better with the SEC. Take UT, OU TTU and OSU

That 38 second drive at the end of the game to tie it was pretty impressive.

Especially that corner blitz jump pass he made when any other mortal would have been sacked.

From NFL.com

Sam Darnold reaffirms he's top CFB QB in USC win over Texas

It was far from a perfect game by Darnold, but he made big plays in big moments down the stretch, and was seemingly unfazed by the pressure, completing 28-of-49 passes for 397 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs.

His team trailed by 3 points with 37 seconds remaining in regulation on Saturday night. That was a Houdini act by him to get out of the Coliseum with a win.

I tweeted late in the game that I wanted to see Darnold in a position where he had to lead a comeback. He got the chance with a lot less time than I thought he would need to pull it off. He had 5-7 dropped passes by his receivers, took a lot of hits over the course of the game and was left for dead with 37 seconds remaining and his team down by 3. He led the team on a drive to tie it up and send it into OT. Then he delivered a TD strike on the first play in overtime.

He lives in the middle of the field. So many of Darnold's fellow college QBs live on the perimeter. Now, he'll throw some screens to the perimeter, but he attacks the middle of the field more than any college QB in the country. His incredible jump pass on the final drive of regulation and TD pass in overtime were both down the middle of field. Darnold does not play scared.

USC's receivers outside of Burnett are absolutely terrible.

If you watch USC the last 3 games - including the Rose Bowl - you would go away thinking...

USC is 2 players - Darnold and Burnett and after they leave - USC will suck bad.

SC will be OK. Recruiting drives college football and the Trojans are doing OK in that department.

So between them, they beat 17 teams? Far from "everyone else."

Love being right. Every. Single. Time.
