more bogus travels and goaltends today than I have ever seen in one game

Wait, what? I don't see how you get bogus goaltends in an international friendly. You have to put your hand THROUGH the cylinder.

Yeah they aren't. The medal round when Ibaka and both Gasols play almost the entire game will be totally different.

He could not legitimately play PG. Playing PG requires guarding top PGs.

Definitely. I really wanted to see Rubio play, USA would get the best challenge possible.

Plus Marc Gasol hasn't even played. Spain definitely not showing all their cards.

In that case, I'm going with }:-) being our secret weapon and that's why we're not giving him minutes....yeah, that's it. Coach K = genius!

You're right. We've never seen LeBron guard Rondo or Rose at a high level. Wait, what?

Aren't the Spanish fans notoriously racist? Making monkey sounds & throwing banana peels at black players??

I guess they're making the exception for Ibaka?

Maybe its because the fiba refs aren't used to the pace that USA runs, but its almost absurd/ borderline ridiculous the amount of calls spain seems to be getting.

On the other hand it may be good for team usa. The officials may be like this in London as well

No, I have watched basically every single international game the US has played in since 2006, and this is by far the worst officiating I have seen.

It's like this for one reason. The game is being played in Spain and is reffed by Spanish officials. Called fairly, it should be something like 54-36. Felipe Reyes is basically tying Carmelo's hands behind his back on every rebounding opportunity.

With that being said, Spain isn't even playing their best line-up. Marc Gasol won't play a second, and Pau and Ibaka aren't playing as much as I expected, either.

The game in London will be very different, and I am surprised and disappointed that Davis isn't being given more opportunities.

And I highly, higly doubt that Davis is the secret weapon that won't be revealed until the second half of the gold medal game.

Are harden, love and davis the odd men out for the rotation in london ? unless there is foul trouble.looks like it

Harden has no business being on this team, IMO.
Love has been playing somewhat poorly in international play.
Davis is a rook.

Rondo tore up lebron fwiw. Just because you attempt to guard someone doesnt mean you can guard them

I guess they have the same attitude as some Southern college football fans.

And I wish Jones and Fran would stop being so "nice" and call out the problems in the game.

Nah, I'm talking about Spain.

England usually has a black player or two on their teams (even though I'm sure they're racist as frick too). Seems like Spain, Italy, Russia are the most racist....

What? No. England isn't a very racist place; half of their national team is black. In most of Spain, they hate Muslims and they have small packets of anti-black crowds that will show up and make monkey noises and what not.

No, no he didn't... just because you say something doesn't make it true.

ETA: If you mean Rondo guarding LeBron was effective, then never mind... because he did a good job playing D on LeBron a couple times in the playoffs.

Wade's spot.

USA style of offense really hasn't suited him.

Should be coming in for Tyson Chandler off the bench.
