That spinal headache got so much worse after last weekend btw. I ended up watching Mu fall in the 800 in a hospital bed on Monday because they wouldn’t let me leave until Tuesday once they did a blood patch to stop the spinal fluid leaking.
So I didn’t get to watch as much as I wanted before yesterday.

James Corrigan ran 8:13 in the steeple in Philly this afternoon securing the standard and his spot on the US Olympic team.

Hope you're ok. That sounds absolutely miserable and very painful.

Thanks, guys.
I’m undergoing a lot of testing right now and one of the ordered tests was a lumbar puncture, so they can test if there are oligoclonal bands in the spinal fluid.
Apparently 15-20 percent of lumbar punctures (aka spinal taps) have inadvertent spinal fluid leaks which can cause debilitating headaches and nausea any minute you’re up on your feet (like even taking a piss, sitting down, or brushing your teeth). I wasn’t aware that it was such a high percentage.
It was probably the worst pain I’ve had in well more than a decade but now, all I have left is so mild tenderness in my back (3/10 or so).
They fix the leak with a thing called a blood patch, where they take blood from your arm and plug up the leak (essentially ) that way
I will say Mu had a worse week than me, but not Sha Carri

Glad it’s getting better. Couldn’t imagine that. I’m a wuss with pain so I’d be a huge baby.
I’m not sure many people in the country had a worse week than mu.

Were you a 5K/10K guy in college?
Posted on 6/29/24 at 8:12 pm to Pedro
What the hell is this… well over 6 minute pace
Posted on 6/29/24 at 8:13 pm to Keys Open Doors
Yep! 32:20 15:36 (never put it together for the 5k for some reason). Was realistically in shape for 15 low just could never actually run it.

Someone needs to make a move. I’m surprised Karissa hasn’t gone yet

I want the two Virginians. And they look strong right now.

This is stupid. You have one runner with the standard and I don’t think as of right now any of them have the ranking to go.

Schweizer and Kelati are about to turn this into a grind
